Chris Hoffman, the son of HSSH founding partner Tim Hoffman was born in San Antonio, Texas. Chris attended two years of college at North Carolina State University before graduating from the University of Texas with a degree in philosophy. He then attended the University of Texas School of Law where he was the first year moot court champion and graduated with honors in 1997.

Mr. Hoffman went to work for the Texas Department of Insurance where he worked in the Legal and Enforcement section prosecuting insurance companies and agents which violated state laws and regulations. Mr. Hoffman joined HSSH in 1999 and was named a partner in 2002. He is actively involved in several professional associations. He is the former President of the Panhandle Trial Lawyers Association and is a Board Member of the Texas Trial Lawyers Association. Mr. Hoffman is also a member of the Colorado Trial Lawyers Association. Mr. Hoffman focuses his practice exclusively on personal injury trial law. He is married and has two boys.

Mr. Hoffman was included in the list of Texas Rising Stars for 2007, 2008, 2010, and 2011 which is published in the July issue of Texas Monthly magazine and Texas Rising Stars magazine. Selection is the result of polling all lawyers selected in the Texas Super Lawyers for 2006 to identify the up-and-coming attorneys in Texas who are 40 years or younger. Only the top 2.5% of Texas lawyers receive this distinction.
